Nest Boxes

Nest boxes around the villages

The nest boxes shown here were all obtained with grant funding from Natural England in 2022. The grant, for a range of biodiversity improvements, was awarded to a partnership of Histon & Impington Parish Council, Histon & Impington Green Spaces, and Histon & Impington Community Orchard.

These boxes were put up and are maintained by volunteers.

There are a range of box types indicated by different coloured dots. Different sizes of box and entrance suit particular species of woodland bird. Click on any dot on the map to find out whether the box has been used since it was installed. You can zoom in and out for more detail.

If you are interested in adopting a box please contact sitemanagers@abbeyfields.online
